  • Exciting Community Leadership Opportunity

DIA is seeking a new Chairperson/Persons to re-engage this Community!

Community Chairperson(s) are responsible for the leadership of the Community. While Communities are self-governing, each one requires a designated Chairperson responsible for critical Community functionality.

Volunteering as a Community Chairperson is an excellent opportunity to display and enhance your leadership, communication, and decision-making skills along with peers in a specialty group.

Aside from leading the Community, Responsibilities of DIA Community Chairperson(s) include:

    ·       Create and submit an annual plan of key activities based on their Community Goals and Objectives to Community Leadership

    ·       Create 1-3 tangible outputs annually. These can include Shared Learning Sessions, White Papers, Podcasts, TIRS/Global Forum Article submissions, etc.

    ·       Deliver an annual summary of Community activities and accomplishments to Community Leadership. Review and revise Community Goals as needed for the next calendar year

    ·       Assign (appoint) leadership roles within the volunteer group as necessary to meet goals and objectives set at the start of the year

    ·       Facilitate collaboration across regions and Communities

    ·       Engage Community Membership at least quarterly to foster networking, discussion, shared learning and/or information exchange

    ·       Community Leadership Council: All Community Chairs serve on the Community Leadership Council (CLC) and are expected to attend quarterly meetings

Community Chairperson(s) may serve a three-year term with the option of a second three-year term, for a maximum of six years as a DIA Community Chair.
